I am sure you are searching for an answer to some question you have in the back of your mind. Why don't you post your question here I am sure someone will gladly answer your question.

We are here to support each other. As a pre-op patient you no doubt have been doing a lot of self-research, but perhaps have not made a decision. As to surgery it is a personal decision that only you and your doctors can make. But once you do it will be of great comfort to know that you have a very large group of individuals that care and will guide you on the journey that lies in front of you.

From the surgical staff, nurses, doctors and other bariatric patients. We are there for you.
so go ahead and make a post. No mater how strange the question may be. We've all been there.

Is it standard procedure to have to have a drain after surgery if done laparoscopically? And if so, how long is that drain left in place?

Hi there. When I had my surgery there was no drain.. I know people who had their surgery who had drains but Dr. Mueller was not doing it at that time.. My surgery was 4 years ago.. Not sure if he has changed his procedure at this point but I know for me, there was no drain.
